This is a faux wood grain hoop. The inner part of the hoop is made with a hard plastic and the outer edge is a soft bendy plastic - THIS HOOP IS NOT MADE OF WOOD.
These are decorative hoops for showcasing your stitching, but not great for holding your stitching while you work. I do my work on aMorgan Hoopand when I'm finished, a faux wood hoop to display.
